TDIS Template Library

The TDIS Template Library is the governed collection of reusable documentation templates that define the visual and structural standards for all TrinityIDC documentation artifacts. These templates ensure that every Data Dictionary entry, glossary term, ontology definition, workflow description, and system component is presented with consistency, clarity, and professional polish.

This library is a foundational part of the TrinityIDC Documentation Intelligence System (TDIS) and evolves alongside the platform’s metadata authority model (Stage A → Stage B → Stage C).

Purpose of This Library

The Template Library exists to:

  • Provide standardized, repeatable structures for all TDIS documentation

  • Ensure governance alignment across authors, tools, and automated generators

  • Support future automation via SOCS, dbINSTALLER, and iGNOSIS metadata

  • Maintain a uniform look and feel across the entire TrinityIDC documentation portal

  • Serve as the single source of truth for all template definitions

Every template in this folder is considered a governed artifact and should be updated with care.

Available Templates

1. Data Dictionary Templates (Stage A)

These templates support the current TDIS metadata authority model, where SQL DDL is the primary source of truth.

  • TDIS Data Dictionary Template — Table (Stage A) Structure for documenting physical tables, including columns, constraints, indexes, history, and notes.

  • TDIS Data Dictionary Template — View (Stage A) Structure for documenting derived objects, including columns, source/lookup mappings, conditions, history, and notes.

These templates are designed to mirror the professional layout of your legacy Data Dictionary while aligning with TDIS governance.

Future Templates (Stage B & C Evolution)

As TrinityIDC transitions toward metadata‑driven automation, this library will expand to include templates for:

  • Data Dictionary Templates — Stage B (SQL DDL + iGNOSIS metadata as co‑primary authorities)

  • Data Dictionary Templates — Stage C (iGNOSIS as the primary metadata authority; SOCS as canonical physical definitions)

  • Glossary Entry Templates

  • Ontology Term Templates

  • Module Documentation Templates

  • Workflow Documentation Templates

  • SOCS Documentation Templates

  • dbINSTALLER Metadata Templates

Each template will be versioned and governed as part of the TDIS evolution.

How to Use These Templates

Each template can be saved in GitBook as a reusable page template:

  1. Open the template page

  2. Click the three‑dot menu

  3. Select “Save as template”

  4. Assign a clear name (e.g., TDIS Data Dictionary — Table)

Once saved, the template becomes available whenever you create a new page.

For detailed instructions, see:

Governance Notes

  • Templates in this folder are governed artifacts.

  • Changes must follow TrinityIDC documentation governance standards.

  • Templates must remain aligned with the TDIS Master Prompts and the metadata authority model.

  • Updates should be versioned and documented.

  • Structural consistency is mandatory; visual drift is not permitted.

Role in the TDIS Ecosystem

The Template Library is the bridge between:

  • Human authors

  • TDIS Master Prompts

  • iGNOSIS metadata

  • SOCS and dbINSTALLER automation

  • GitBook presentation

It ensures that every artifact—manual or generated—conforms to TrinityIDC’s standards for clarity, governance, and professionalism.

If you’d like, I can also generate:

  • A template versioning policy

  • A template governance workflow

  • Stage B and Stage C template drafts

  • A Template Change Log page

  • A Template Style Guide for authors

Just tell me where you want to take this next.
